Lawrence Co. husband charged with severely beating wife

SUMMERTOWN, TN (WSMV) -

A Lawrence County husband is accused of beating his wife so badly she had to be flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

Deputies on Tuesday responded to a home in Summertown after a domestic disturbance and found a woman with head injuries.

The woman's husband, Thomas Richardson, was arrested around 8 a.m. Wednesday.

He's facing charges of first-degree attempted murder and reckless endangerment.
