A Middle Tennessee school is in the running for a national award, and there's a big NBC connection.
NBC's prime-time musical drama Smash is looking for schools across the nation to make a musical, and Central Magnet School in Murfreesboro is a semifinalist.
Ten schools will win rights to perform a Broadway musical, plus receive two masters acting classes, two teacher stipends and more.
