GREENBRIER, TN (WSMV) -

A barn in Robertson County caught on fire early Tuesday morning, killing chickens that were inside.

The fire started around 2:45 a.m. in the 2000 block of Liebengood Road in Greenbrier.

The family that lives on the property were awakened by their dogs about the fire. When crews arrived, the barn was fully involved.

Investigators believe a heater inside the barn that was meant to keep the chickens warm caused the fire.

No people were injured by the fire.
