BURNS, TN (WSMV) -
A man is safe after being rescued from a cliff in Dickson County late Saturday night.
Authorities say he started climbing up the rocks to look at a cave but got stuck. Fortunately, the man was with friends who called for help.
Crews got there around 7:30 p.m. Saturday night to start the rescue.
Emergency crews used their flashlights to keep him in sight while a rescuer climbed down with a rope. Eventually, crews used the rope to lower the man to the ground.
The entire operation lasted about an hour. Authorities say the hardest part was finding a safe way to reach the man.
