The Tennessee Highway Patrol said it will likely be several days before investigators determine the cause of a deadly rollover wreck involving a dump truck at a rock quarry in Rutherford County on Saturday morning.
According to THP officials, the incident was reported at Hoover Rock Quarry on Twin Oak Drive just before 10 a.m.
The driver of the truck, John David Boyd of Rockvale, drove over an embankment, and the vehicle fell approximately 60-80 feet and landed on its roof, THP officials said.
Boyd died at the scene.
An autopsy is underway as well as toxicology tests.
Federal investigators have also been called to conduct an inspection.
The Rutherford County Emergency Management Agency's Special Operations and Response Team has also responded.
