Child, 11, struck by car in Columbia

COLUMBIA, TN (WSMV) -

An 11-year-old boy riding a bike was injured Friday evening when he was struck by a car.

Police dispatch said the accident occurred around 6 p.m. on West 12th Street near Rainey Street.

The boy was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center by helicopter.
