Longtime Grand Ole Opry member Jack Greene has passed away at the age of 83.
Country music's "Jolly Green Giant" died Thursday from complications of Alzheimer's.
Greene won numerous country music awards in the 1960s and 70s.
He had nine No. 1 hits while recording for Decca Records and MCA Records.
Some of his most popular songs are: There Goes My Everything, You Are My Treasure and Back In The Arms Of Love.
According to Greene's official website, his first job was on WGAP Radio in his hometown of Maryville, TN.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
