A Metro police officer suffered minor injuries early Friday morning when his patrol car was struck by an alleged drunk driver.

Police said Commander Terrence Graves from North Precinct was treated and released from Vanderbilt University Medical Center after his unmarked car was struck from behind while stopped at a traffic signal at the intersection of D.B. Todd Boulevard and Jackson Street.

Police said Oona Doyle, 20, was driving the car that struck him. She has been arrested and charged with DUI and underage drinking. She was not injured. Police said Doyle had bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol. She appeared to be unsteady on her feet. Police found an open bottle of Bloody Mary mix in her car.
