Williamson Co. manhunt suspect in court

Posted: Updated:
FRANKLIN, TN (WSMV) -

The subject of a manhunt that forced Williamson County schools to close last week will make his first court appearance Wednesday.

Jeff Vaughn, who allegedly fired a shotgun at his wife and children two weeks ago, will appear in Williamson County General Sessions Court.

Vaughn was a maintenance worker for Williamson County Schools and had access to keys for every school in the district, so school officials canceled school while police searched for him.

He was eventually arrested near Trinity Elementary School east of Franklin and remains in jail on a $900,000 bond.
