COLUMBIA, Tenn. (AP) - A former star high school quarterback in Maury County pleaded guilty to facilitation of child rape and received probation for having sex with a 12-year-old girl.
The Daily Herald in Columbia reports that 19-year-old Princeton Harlan, who was a senior at Mt. Pleasant High School at the time of the offense, received a 10-year suspended sentence during Circuit Court on Tuesday and his name will be added to the state's sex offender registry.
He was arrested at the school last October and initially charged with child rape. Two of his teammates, both juveniles, were also charged, and their cases were later moved from juvenile court to Circuit Court.
Police said the sex was not forcible and three players were charged because of the girl's age.
