Public energy forum to be held at Delta College

UNIVERSITY CENTER, MI (WNEM) -

Renewable energy is a big topic at Delta College on Monday as local members of Michigan Energy- Michigan Jobs will discuss Governor Snyder's upcoming energy forum.

Officials will talk about how they believe the state should implement a long-term energy policy.

Steve Bakkal, Director of the Michigan Energy Office and John Quackenbush, Chairman of the Michigan Public Service Commission will provide the introduction.

Representatives from Energy Michigan, Michigan Saves, Hemlock Semiconductor, Consumers Energy and others will hold presentations.

The event starts at 12:30 p.m. inside Room G-163 lecture theater.

The Governor's energy forum is scheduled for 1 p.m. This is the third of seven forums that will be held throughout the state.
