MT. PLEASANT, MI (WNEM) -

Mt. Pleasant City police officers responded to a retail fraud complaint at Dunham's Sporting Goods located on S. Mission Street last Sunday.

Officers were able to track the suspects to Appian Way near Mission Street. At that time, police said 17-year-old Dustin Robert Brown was placed under arrest and lodged at ICSD.

Authorities said their investigation led to the recovery of stolen property with a value in excess of $5,000.

The property was identified as being taken during a breaking and entering, and numerous retail frauds from several local stores over the last six months.

Besides the arrest of Brown, three other young men were also arrested and arraigned Friday at the 76th District Court on second-degree home invasion charges. Those men include 27-year-old John Anthony Merchant, 22-year-old James Allen Chandler and 18-year-old Jaylen William-LaFranc Miles.

Authorities said they believe their investigation will result in further charges against the four men.
