COOKEVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Police say there have been a string of burglaries in Putnam County that have included the theft of medication and electronics.
The latest burglary happened on Water Plant Road on Feb. 23.
Police say the burglar ripped away a mesh screen covering a dryer vent and able to climb into the home. The thief escaped with Oxycodone and Xanax pills.
The Cookeville Herald Citizen reports that this burglary on Water Plant Drive was one of four recent burglaries. The others happened on Ash Drive, Baxter and Bartlett roads.
In one case, thieves stole a 42-inch screen television and an Xbox.
