SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

The Saginaw Police Department and Michigan State Police held a joint press conference on Friday to discuss the ongoing violence crimes in the city.

The news conference was held in the front lobby of the police department to address a recent spat of shooting. Authorities spoke about the recent arrests as they relate to the shooting crimes. The acting Saginaw Police Chief Brian Lipe and MSP Lieutenant Marvin Jenkins answered questions about the recent violence.

Over the last few days one man was beaten to death, a drive-by shooting wounded two people including a pregnant woman, another shooting occurred on E. Genesee with unknown victims, and three others have been hospitalized due to gunshot wounds.
