NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV-AP) -
After a spring-like tease, the emerging weather pattern over Tennessee is a reminder that it's still winter.
Some significant precipitation and much colder temperatures are moving into the state and there could be a bit of snow into the weekend for East Tennessee.
4WARN Chief Meteorologist Lisa Spencer said the area can expect rain to begin in the southwest area of Middle Tennessee by 7 p.m. Monday. The rain should reach Nashville between 8-10 p.m. A few non-severe thunderstorms are likely.
Up to an inch of rain is likely Monday into Tuesday before colder weather moves in.
Temperatures in Nashville will only be in the high 30s toward the end of the week.
