BENTON COUNTY, TN (WSMV) -
A Benton County man who didn't stop for deputies lost control of his car and died in a crash on a curvy country road, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
According to THP officials, Ronnie Hensley, 22, was traveling south on Highway 192 around 3:30 a.m. in a gray two-door Pontiac on Thursday.
State troopers said Hensley lost control, his car left the roadway and struck a tree, ejecting the driver.
Officials said Hensley was not wearing a seat belt and they believed that may have made a difference.
Benton County Sheriff Tony King said the incident was under investigation.
Toxicology tests are underway to determine whether drugs or alcohol were a factor.
