CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A Clarksville man is accused of punching a sheriff's sergeant after threatening him with an umbrella in the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office on Thursday night.
According to the Leaf-Chronicle, Lamont Oldham, who was listed as a gang member in a police report, was instructed to leave the Sheriff's office building at around 6 p.m. Thursday when he picked up a long umbrella and pointed it toward a sergeant's face, the warrant said.
The sergeant then sprayed Oldham in the face with a pepper spray mix after Oldham threatened to beat the sergeant up, according to the warrant.
Oldham then punched the sergeant in the face, knocking the deputy's glasses off, before running out of the building.
Oldham, 26, was charged with aggravated assault.
