A single traffic stop has helped police solve eight different burglary cases across the area, and now many of the victims are actually getting their stuff back.
Cheatham County deputies have been working to track down the owners of the property. Everything from Bibles to costume jewelry to phones were stolen, and police suspect Michael Orand may have been working as a handyman.
What he had in his truck was a telltale sign, investigators said.
"We did find burglary tools, pry bars, ski masks, duffel bags - stuff you would literally see a burglar take," said Det. Jeff Landis.
Police say the man had been convicted before in Florida, and they also found a gun that he wasn't allowed to have in his home.
