LIVINGSTON, TN (WSMV) -
Widespread illness has forced Overton County officials to close schools Friday and Monday.
A school spokesperson says attendance numbers at the district's schools are down because of a variety of illnesses, including flu, pneumonia, strep and a stomach bug, so officials decided to keep students home to get well.
Last month, Overton schools closed for several days when a high number of students and staff reported feeling ill.
