NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A man behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle is on the run early Wednesday morning.
The chase began overnight on Ellington Parkway between the Hart Lane and Trinity Lane exits.
A Metro officer pulled over a vehicle for a routine traffic stop, but when the car stopped, a man got out and ran into the woods.
When officers ran the tags, they discovered that the vehicle was stolen.
Police brought in a K-9 unit and a helicopter but have not been able to locate the driver.
