NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Police said a man jumped out of a moving car in an attempt to avoid authorities.
The incident occurred overnight on East Fairview Drive in north Nashville.
The victim said a man, later identified as LaQuint Holder, assaulted her with a bottle, ripped her out of a car and then fled the scene in the vehicle.
Police spotted the car traveling at a high rate of speed in an attempt to evade them.
Holder bailed out of the moving car, which hit a mailbox. He was later taken into police custody.
