FOSTER TOWNSHIP, MI (AP) -
Authorities say two people have died in separate snowmobile crashes in Michigan in recent days.
The Lansing State Journal reports Cindy Short died following a Sunday snowmobile crash in Ogemaw County's Foster Township. MLive.com reports that she was snowmobiling about 110 miles north of Lansing when she lost control and hit a tree.
Short was the athletic director Lansing Everett High School and a longtime staff member. She grew up in the Ogemaw County community of West Branch.
On Friday, an Antrim County woman died after her snowmobile collided with a logging truck in Custer Township, about 30 miles southwest of Traverse City.
The Traverse City Record-Eagle reports the woman's husband and son were riding on separate snowmobiles at the time and they weren't injured. Her name wasn't immediately released.
