Police say alcohol possibly involved in deadly crash

Officials are investigating a deadly crash which may involve alcohol in Dickson County.

Rescue crews rushed to the scene on Highway 70, just after 6 p.m. Saturday night.

Investigators say Lono Mayo, 69, was headed west on Highway 70, when he crossed the center line and hit another vehicle head-on.

Officials say Mayo, of Perry County, was pronounced dead at the scene.

They say alcohol was also found on the scene.

Mayo was not wearing a seatbelt.

The female driver of the other vehicle, Amy Jenkins, 23, was taken to an area hospital by family members.

Police say Jenkins suffered non-life threatening injuries.
