Mayor Karl Dean joined Nashville planners in kicking off a three-year planning project for Davidson County and the city's future, called NashvilleNext.
According to organizers, residents can share their opinions on what they'd like Metro planners to work on by sharing their thoughts on a form at the Nashville Public Library or online.
The launch included a time capsule and interactive booths.
Planners expect another 200,000 people to live in Nashville over the next 25 years, and they are seeking public input as they plan.
