Woman accused of stealing $165K from Sumner Co. church

GALLATIN, TN (WSMV) -

Deputies have arrested a woman suspected of stealing $165,000 from her Sumner County church.

Crystal Lynn Dycus was arrested Thursday after a six-month investigation by the Sumner County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators said they were tipped off by other members at the Douglass Chapel United Methodist Church in Gallatin.

Dycus is charged with theft and money laundering, and she is due in court next week.
