More than 1,500 without electricity in north Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

More than 1,500 residents are without power Thursday evening in north Nashville.

The outage was reported just before 7 p.m. along Ashland City Highway, near the Northgate Shopping Center.

Nashville Electric Service reports on its outage map that a crew has been dispatched to help restore power in the area.

NES has not indicated what may have caused the outage or when power will be fully restored.
