Hundreds come out for community tornado benefit

Posted: Updated:

The small tight knit community of Coble came together Saturday evening for a benefit concert.

Hundreds turned out for the community concert at the Old Coble Store, which featured local talent.

The goal of the night was to raise money for the Coble Relief Fund and the victim's of last week's tornado devastation.

Even with the widespread damage, Coble residents continue to stay positive.

We're just so thankful as we do this show tonight - the devastation was terrible - but one good thing that has come out of this is that we had no funerals and we had nobody hurt. That's a godsend. We're just very, very proud," said event organizer Mike Blackwell.

100% of the proceeds raised Saturday night will go to help storm victims.
