ANTIOCH, TN (WSMV) -
The pedestrian who was struck and killed early Saturday morning on eastbound Interstate 24 has been identified.
Edwin Josue Reyes Hernandez, 28, of LaVergne, died after he was hit by two vehicles while trying to cross near the Bell Road exit just before 3 a.m.
Officers say the first car involved in the accident stayed at the scene, but the second car didn't.
Police said the driver of the first car, Kathleen Tozer, of Ashland City, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic sub-compact car. Officers said no charges are anticipated against Tozer.
The second driver was in some sort of silver vehicle, police said, possibly a 2003 to 2007 model Infiniti G35.
Anyone with information about the silver vehicle is urged to call the Emergency Communications Center at 615-862-8600.
Police hope to hear from that driver or anyone who saw the crash.
