MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -

Three people are facing charges related to stealing scrap metal from the Rutherford County landfill and selling it for profit.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested Joey Black, 43, of Lascassas, Clint Polesec, 39, of Murfreesboro, and Michael Harris, 45, of Christiana, earlier this week.

Black and Polesec worked for the Rutherford County landfill and are accused of taking scrap metal and passing it off to Harris for sale.

Black and Polesec were fired from the landfill in October 2012.

All three are charged with theft of more than $1,000 and conspiracy to commit theft. Black and Polesec were also indicted for official misconduct.
