Dickson Co. deputy hit with stun gun in latest rap video

DICKSON, TN (WSMV) -

His first internet rap video was meant to honor fallen officers and now a Dickson County sheriff's deputy has made another that is raising the stakes.

In his latest rap on crime and society, Sgt. Ken Daron does something that perhaps has never been done in a music video before.

In the video, Daron and some of his friends are seen hanging out at his Dickson home. Chester the Molester, Bobby the Batterer, a serial killer and a judge - all fictional characters - appear in the new rap video called These Social Ills, which is music with a message.

"In responding to calls like this, it's easy to write raps based on my experiences," Daron said.

Daron raps without vulgarity and always with a message.

In this case, the message has some voltage as the sergeant shows what happens when a wife beater threatens police.

Daron is hit with a stun gun, and it's not fake.

"I really hated it. It hurt, but I didn't scream," he said. "I don't recall Eminem or Drake or Taylor Swift getting Tased for their videos, so it might be a first. I don't know. I might first," he said.

A former professional boxer turned circus strong man, Daron has always been a man with many interests. Now, the producers of the USA Network's show Graceland are considering using the instrumental version of These Social Ills for their cable show.
