DeKalb County Schools closed due to illness

SMITHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Students in DeKalb County Schools are getting an extra long weekend to recover from a recent spike in illness.

Schools are closed Thursday and Friday because of a high number of ill students and teachers, plus there haven't been enough substitute teachers available, according to the schools' director.
