NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Police are searching for the person who robbed a bank at gunpoint Friday evening in south Nashville.
The robbery was reported about 5:20 p.m. at the Wells Fargo branch in the 600 block of Thompson Lane.
No one was hurt in the robbery, during which a black male, approximately 5'10" tall wearing a dark coat and Titans hat, approached a teller and showed a weapon.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled behind the bank and may have gotten into a blue sedan resembling a Dodge Stratus, police said.
Anyone recognizing the gunman from bank surveillance photos is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
