HOHENWALD, TN (WSMV) -

A cockfighting ring with a history of illegal activity has resulted in more arrests in Middle Tennessee.

Four people are facing charges in connection with a cockfighting enterprise known as the "Shiloh Club" in Hohenwald, TN, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

Howard Gay, 55, of Hohenwald, TN, Thomas Hardiman, 64, of Iron City, TN, Walter Wooten, 57, of Leoma, TN, and Phillip Heidekker, 66, of Bon Aqua, TN, were indicted by a federal grand jury on Jan. 17.

The men were each charged with three counts relating to their participation in the cock fights.

Each suspect is accused of operating an illegal gambling business, conspiring to operate an illegal gambling business and aiding and abetting an animal fighting venture.

According to the indictment, the Shiloh Club had been in operation for more than a generation and hosted cock fights every other Saturday between November 2008 and May 2009, said U.S. Attorney Jerry Martin in a news release.

This isn't the first time federal and state authorities raided the club.

In May 2009, federal and state law enforcement executed a federal search warrant, which resulted in more than 200 people being prosecuted for gambling and watching the cock fights.
