Patchy Ice Accumulations on Friday
ATLANTA (CBS46) -
A burst of winter weather moved through north Georgia on Friday producing dangerous travel conditions across the northeastern portions of the state.
Storm Tracker radar indicated at least a trace of patchy ice from Canton to Athens northeastward, which resulted in Winter Storm Warnings and Freezing Rain Advisories for most of Friday morning and afternoon.
While Atlanta did see periods of rain and freezing rain, temperatures remained above freezing which reduced travel problems.
The precipitation ended in Atlanta around 5 p.m. Friday evening, and dry conditions are expected for the weekend.
