Clarksville man in stable condition after crash

Clarksville police said a man was critically injured in a crash at the intersection of Purple Heart Highway and Evans Road on Monday night.

Police said a Frederick Devon Robinson, 19, rolled through a stop sign and crashed into an oncoming vehicle around 8:20 p.m.

There were two people in the back seat of Robinson's car, and police said neither were wearing seat belts.

One of them, Kendall T. Ashby, 28, was critically hurt with head and chest injuries. He was flown to a Vanderbilt Medical Center and is now in stable condition. 

The other passenger in Robinson's car, Daeeshayne Power was found with marijuana in his possession at the scene of the crash and cited for simple possession.

The driver of the other car wasn't hurt.
