2 boaters rescued after getting stuck on dam

McMINNVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Tennessee wildlife officials came to the rescue of two boaters who were found dangling dangerously over the dam for hours on Sunday.

The incident happened around 2 p.m. at Pepper Branch Park.

Officials say the engine in the boat had failed, and the propeller got stuck on the low head portion of the dam.

Wildlife officials worked with Warren County rescue crews to pull the stranded boaters to shore. No one was injured.
