Man critically injured in crash with utility truck

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (WSMV) -

A Hopkinsville man remained in critical but stable condition at a Nashville hospital after he was involved in a traffic accident with a utility truck Saturday afternoon.

According to WKDZ Radio, the crash happened at the intersection of Walnut St. and East 14th St. around 4:30 p.m.

Police said Marvin Gray, Jr., 36, was headed northbound when his pickup rear ended the AT&T truck.

Gray was rushed to Jennie Stuart Medical Center but then was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment of severe head injuries, police said.

No one in the utility truck was injured, police said.

Walnut Street was closed for several hours while officers investigated the crash, police said.
