All hands are on deck for the Nashville Predators as they hold a short but intense training camp this week, trying to get ready for their season opener Saturday against Columbus at Bridgestone Arena.
Head Coach Barry Trotz said the coaches had all kinds of drills ready to go, but had to cut all that down when the lockout ended last week.
"It was just kind of a chance to evaluate what kind of shape they were in," Trotz said.
The good thing for the Predators is that there's basically just one new man on the roster in defenseman Scott Hannon.
So chemistry isn't a problem, which should help a lot as seven of the team's first nine games are away from home.
