SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A fire that started in a pick-up truck Wednesday morning ended up spreading to a house, causing damage to the garage.

The vehicle fire happened just after 7 a.m. on Deerhead near Midland Road in Tittabawassee Township.

The owner of the truck says he used his remote start to warm the diesel truck up and it then burst into flames.

An off duty firefighter saw the fire when it started spreading to the garage, and called 911.

Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the truck is totaled.
