Mt. Pleasant residents still urged to boil water

Posted: Updated:
MOUNT PLEASANT, TN (WSMV) -

Residents in Mount Pleasant are still being urged to boil the city's tap water.

Residents were told by city officials on Wednesday to boil their tap water for at least a minute before using it.

A water plant operator discovered the water was more cloudy than it's allowed to be, according to a report in the Daily Herald.

Usually this type of cloudiness is caused by mud entering the system.

The city will notify residents when the boil notice is lifted.
