MOUNT JULIET, TN (WSMV) -
A Mt. Juliet woman is accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill her ex-husband.
Bryam Megan Ewers, 42, of Mt. Juliet, TN, is accused of solicitation to commit first-degree murder, according to Wilson County Sheriff Robert Bryan.
After investigators received a tip, detectives arranged so that Ewers could contact an undercover officer who would pose as the hit man.
After contact was made by Ewers, a meeting was set up Jan. 14 to arrange the hit.
An undercover officer met with Ewers in a Lebanon parking lot. Police recorded the meeting, during which the woman agreed to pay $5,000 to have her ex-husband killed.
Ewers is accused of supplying photos of her ex-husband and his residence to aid in carrying out the hit.
After the conversation, detectives arrested and charged Ewers. Bond was set at $1 million.
A court date is set for Feb. 14.
