LEBANON, TN (WSMV) -
Crews battled a house fire in rural Wilson County in the unincorporated community of LaGuardo on Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported in the 400 block of Woods Ferry Road, where firefighters found heavy smoke and flames coming through the roof.
Initially, there was some confusion over whether the homeowner's son may be inside, but fortunately nobody was at home.
The woman's daughter said 30-years of memories went up in smoke.
"It's awful. It's awful. Just looking at, you know, everything she's worked hard for is gone," said Camara Vaughn.
The woman will stay with family for now, and investigators are not yet sure what caused the fire.
