Mt. Juliet commissioners are making it easier for teachers to learn about guns.
On Monday night, commissioners passed an ordinance allowing teachers to take a gun safety course for free.
The vice mayor said teachers can take advantage of the classes as soon as there's openings.
The course normally costs $50. The class allows teachers to qualify for a gun permit class.
