Police want to talk to Kenny Britt after stabbing

JERSEY CITY, NJ (WSMV) -

A spokesperson for Kenny Britt said the Titans' receiver will now talk to New Jersey police after dropping off a stabbing victim at a hospital early Sunday morning.

The Jersey Journal reported Jersey City police were called to a home at about 3:30 a.m. for a stabbing.

Police were told the victim, who should recover, had been taken to a hospital by Britt. The Tennessean reported the victim was Britt's brother.

Britt was said to be uncooperative with police and left the hospital.

About 90 minutes after the stabbing, there were reports of a gunshot near the home where the incident happened.

Britt's spokesman said the Titan found the wounded man outside after dinner and took him to the hospital but was not involved otherwise.

Britt has had off the field trouble in the past. He was suspended one game in September by the NFL for a DUI charge in July. Britt was also arrested twice in New Jersey in 2009. Both charges were later reduced.

Britt was the 30th pick in the 2009 draft by the Titans out of Rutgers.
