CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A 66-year-old man from Goodlettsville, TN, was killed in a towing accident in Clarksville on Saturday afternoon.

Police said the victim, Carroll Hall, was driving North on Frosty Morn Drive hauling a front end loader on a flatbed trailer at 4 p.m.

For an unknown reason, the loader shifted forward on the flatbed and continued until it came to rest on the cab of the tractor. The 66-year old driver was trapped inside and died at the scene from his injuries.

Police say a crane was brought in from Hopkinsville, KY to remove the front end loader from the top of the cab.

The name of the victim hasn't been released.
