MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -

Murfreesboro firefighters on Wednesday morning had to extinguish their second car fire this week.

Crews arrived in the 1400 block of Eagle Street at 2 a.m. and found a 1974 Chevy Impala in flames.

Police said the fire was intentionally set and the trunk, hood, and front windshield of the vehicle sustained damage.

Early Monday morning, the department responded to a 2008 Chevy Cobalt on fire at the 2000 block of Empress Drive.

The Fire Marshal's Office is investigating both fires, but they do not believe the two are related. No one was injured in either incident, police said.
