CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Just over one week into the new year, Tennessee law enforcement officers have discovered 55 meth labs across the state in 2013.

The most recent meth lab was discovered Tuesday in Montgomery County, and one suspect is now in custody.

Clarksville police were called to a home on Skyview Court after receiving a complaint about two men smoking meth inside the home. The two left the home before officers arrived, but investigators noticed a strong smell of chemicals coming from the garage.

The 19th Judicial District Drug Task Force dismantled the meth lab in the garage.

The suspect's identity has not been released, and the case remains under investigation.
