Man shot outside Brentwood hotel

BRENTWOOD, TN (WSMV) -

A shooting outside a Brentwood hotel sent one man to the hospital Thursday night.

Officers were called to the Homewood Suites on Peter Taylor Park Drive around 9:30 p.m.

When police arrived, they found one person had been shot in the hand.

Investigators said the victim got into an altercation in the parking lot moments before the shooting.

Detectives said they have a person in custody but are still investigating.

The victim is expected to survive.
