During the next few days, students in local schools will be returning to class after the Christmas break, and many will see more security.
The Paris Special School District is the latest to add law enforcement officers in its school buildings.
According to our news partners at the Paris Post-Intelligencer, the Paris Police Department and Henry County Sheriff's Department are teaming up to station officers at Inman Middle School and Paris and Rhea Elementary schools.
The move is temporary for now, but community leaders plan to discuss a more permanent plan.
