Christopher Lucas Selby
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Police had to point a gun at a man accused of dangling a woman from a third-floor apartment breezeway on Tuesday.
At 4:20 p.m., police were dispatched to an apartment in the 4700 block of Lebanon Pike in response to a disorderly person call.
When police arrived, an officer said he saw a man, later identified as Christopher Lucas Selby, 27, arguing with a woman, Kelia Ramos, on the breezeway in front of an apartment.
The officer said as he was walking up the stairway from the second floor to the third floor, Selby grabbed Ramos by her waist and start to push her over the railing.
Ramos grabbed Selby's arms and stated, "No, No pull me in."
Police said Ramos was hanging off the breezeway railing, so the officer pulled out his gun and ordered Selby to pull Ramos back onto the breezeway.
Selby complied and was taken into custody.
The breezeway railing where this incident occurred is about 45 feet off the ground.
Selby is accused of attempted first-degree murder. He's being held on $100,000 bond.
